Happy August! We're so happy to start off our 5th month by announcing that we have held over 1000 virtual visits between our youth volunteers and seniors across the country. This week, we introduced our new volunteers, Fay-Ling, Ethan, Tondum and Nick! We're always excited to expand the LHA family. Many of you have been wondering what'll happen to LHA once school starts. Our goal is to continue to grow and expand LHA for as long as we can. We will adapt to new circumstances, continue to work with new facilities and welcome new volunteers. Please consider following us on social media (twitter, instagram, facebook, linkedin) and donating via our gofundme, blick wishlist or amazon wishlist! And, don't forget to check our our merch at zazzle.com/lhamerch! Don't forget to sign up for our monthly newsletter at the bottom of the home page. In our July newsletter, we updated subscribers on where we've donated, who we've helped and things that you can do to help out. Shout out to Carissa, our volunteer of the month for logging the hours of meetings during July! Carissa loves exploring the visual arts, including painting, drawing, embroidering, knitting, and basically anything she can create with her hands! She also plays volleyball, and has a huge heart for dogs. She is passionate about making others feel heard and loved.

Shout out to the residents at Brookdale Urbana for answering every single question correctly in our jeopardy game!! They are seriously geniuses. Additionally, we have partnered with an organization called Wordy What!! Created by LHA's treasurer, Riya, Wordy What aims to spread a love of words and language to children and adults of all ages.
